Charles Darwin

It He was born in Shrewshury, Shropshire, England, Darwin was the fifth son of an English rich and sophisticated family. After graduating of the school in Shrewsbury in 1825, Darwin went to Edinburgh's university to study medicine. In 1827 it He left and entered to the university of Cambridge for preparing it self to turn the minister of the church of England. There it He knew to two figures: the geologist Adam Sedgwick, and the naturist John Stevens Henslow. Henslow not only helped him her to gain earn more confidence in yes same, but also he taught his her pupil to be a meticulous and careful observer of the natural phenomena and to being a collector of specimens. After graduating of Cambridge in 1831, Darwin of 22 years was invited on board of the ship Englishman of investigation research HMS Beagle, for Henslow's wide recommendation, as a naturalist without payment in a scientific expedition about the world. Darwin's task like a naturalist on board of the Beagle gave to him her the opportunity to observe the diverse geological formations trainings in different continents and islands along the way, as well as a wide variety of fossils and alive vivacius organisms. In his her geological observations, Darwin was impressed by the effect that the natural forces had in the form of the surface of the land. In that epoch, the majority of the geologists were sticking fast to the theory of the catastrophe, which says that the land has experienced a succession of creations of animal rude and vegetable life, and that every creation had been destroyed by a sudden catastrophe, as a raising or convulsion of the surface of the land. In agreement with this theory, the most recent catastrophe, the universal deluge, eliminated the whole life except those forms that removed in the ark. The rest was visible only as fossils. From the point of view of the doom-mongers, the species were created individualemente and immutable, this is, without change for the passage of time. The point of view of the doom-mongers, it was questioned by the geologist Englishman Sir Charles Lyell in his her work of two volumes Beginning of Geology (1830-33). Lyell was holding that the surface of the land is suffering a constant change, as result of the natural forces that operate uniformly during long periods of time
